Software Engineer, Lead

The Challenge:

Do you want to lead, build, and deliver a powerhouse system that will modernize an integral component of an aircraft? You know a good tool is more than just a nice-looking interface + data and you need the right combination of programming expertise to build a user focused solution. As a lead software engineer, you’ll guide your team to success with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for someone like you with the skills and experience to build a prototype from a production-ready system.

As a software engineer on our team, you’ll lead a team of developers and help them overcome your customer’s most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like domain driven design alongside open source frameworks and tools like Spring Boot. You’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques to implement system improvements and mentor your team. Using Agile life cycle development you’ll build a feasible prototype. You’ll code and deliver the solution that supports the current architecture and operating environment, as well as drive future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

8+ years of experience with software engineering
Experience with Java development in a Unix environment
Experience with RTI Data Distribution Service
Experience with Tactical Display Framework
Experience with avionic software
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

Knowledge of end-to-end modern agile software development
Ability to work in a collaborative team and fast-paced dynamic environments
AWS or MS Azure certification
Level II IAT Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret security clearance is required.
