Operations Research Analyst (ORSA)
Job Summary: Support the creation and refinement of data analysis products to answer Congressional and Senior DoD leadership needs with respect to current readiness requirements supporting the Defense Readiness Reporting System – Strategic (DRRS-S).
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Master’s degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering (Systems or Industrial), Information Technology, or Computer Science.
15 + years of equivalent prior experience.
Held senior military leadership position, preferred.
Hands-on experience performing analysis with military readiness data with respect to unit, personnel, and equipment.
Experience with data sampling and analytical techniques, such as statistical analysis, modeling, forecasting and measurement to effect analyses (e.g. ANOVA, Multiple Regression), cost analysis, flow modeling, forecast modeling, linear programming, simulations and queuing theory, and business reengineering/IDEF modeling.
Experience determining measures of effectiveness.
Experience producing Scientific and Technical Information (STI) products or similar formal analytical products.
Doctorate in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering (Systems or Industrial), Information Technology, or Computer Science.
Familiarization with Mission Essential Task List (METL) construct.
Familiarity with Force Presentation, Force Packages, and Organizational & Force Structure Construct (OFSC) in the context of the Global Force Management Data Initiative (GFM DI).
