Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia.   Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist with developing comprehensive documentation that’s in alignment with organizational standards.  Translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content.  Produce user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets users up for success.  Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.  Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.  Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.    Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, journalism or other relevant technical field. Minimum of four years industry experience as an effective technical writer.  Education Equivalency: As a substitute, four years of industry experience as an effective technical writer.  Education equivalency experience is in addition to the minimum experience of the labor category.   Security Clearance Requirements: Secret   Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
