Are you skilled at research, analysis, and delivering high quality products? ANSER has a unique and exciting contingent opportunity available with the USSPACECOM J2. We are looking for energetic new team members at all levels for several positions ranging from analytical, technical/scientific, national security, and space subject matter expertise. You will be part of a team establishing a new, critical national security capability.


The United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) Intelligence Directorate (J2) provides timely and relevant intelligence by conducting warning, analysis, and assessments; maintaining partnerships that preserve freedom of action in space, deter aggression, and enable global projection; and defending the U.S. and supporting activities to achieve national space objectives.




The Space Open Source (OSINT) Analyst provides a unique capability to the USSPACECOM J2 by identifying appropriate sources, conducting language translation, and providing analysis of information available from public and private open source materials within established security protocols. You will identify trends, patterns, and relationships that will support space intelligence requirements.


Additional tasks include:


Provide status updates to USSPACECOM J2 and staff on OSINT activities.

Provides intelligence support to campaign, contingency, and crisis planning

Synchronizes open source intelligence with intelligence cycle while supporting collection, analysis, production, and targeting

Provides leadership while establishing open source intelligence support in a newly formed military organization with space missions, roles, and functions



Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in intelligence, national security, international affairs, or a relevant technical field

Experience as an Open Source Intelligence Analyst for a DoD or IC organization

Strong leadership skills; ability to lead and work in a team environment

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Skilled at research, analysis, and writing; experience authoring reports, assessments, responses to requests for information, talking points, briefings, and other products

Candidate must provide documentation to substantiate fully vaccinated status against the COVID 19 virus.



Master’s degree in intelligence, national security, international affairs, or a relevant technical field

Experience interacting with and briefing SES and Flag Officer level leaders

Experience working across the interagency and conducting outreach to DoD, USG, think tanks, academia, and other organizations

Documented foreign language capability in a target language (Russian or Chinese).

Knowledge of the DoD, IC, and other USG organizations with space equities.

Demonstrated experience working in the space domain

Experience interacting with and briefing SES and Flag Officer level leaders.
