The professionals at the National Security Agency (NSA) have one common goal: to protect our nation. The mission requires a strong offense and a steadfast defense. The offense collects, processes and disseminates intelligence information derived from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. The defense prevents adversaries from gaining access to sensitive classified national security information.

Information Dissemination Managers operate multimedia systems, facilities, and networks using various types of display, audio, video, and data capabilities. They advise and assist customers with presentation requirements ranging from routing, connecting and displaying computer signals, to the use of conventional media. Information Dissemination Managers also schedule customers’ events and programs, verifying that equipment is operational. Often times they are responsible for compiling and disseminating information regarding rooms, auditoriums, video teleconferencing, record capability, multiple audio components, and Crestron touch panels with equipment is operated from a control room.

Description of the Position

Information Dissemination Manager’s play a vital role at NSA by:
– Operating and/or maintaining multimedia equipment, systems, or networks
– Operating production equipment (for example, audio, video, projection, lighting)
– Using computers and computer systems to accomplish work activities, including navigating the internet and common file systems within a computer network

Job Summary
Communications personnel at the National Security Agency (NSA) provide NSA with the means to build capacity through timely and effective tailored communications to inform, educate and inspire. Examples include building state-of-the-art websites and web applications for the Agency intranet, performing closed captioning at a live event, designing logos, publishing reports, and maintaining/safeguarding records.

Qualifications
Salary Range: $61,947 – $80,532 (Full Performance)

Salary offers are based on candidates’ education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.

Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.

Degree in Communication Arts or a magnet school program in Audiovisual Communications is preferred, although any degree is acceptable.

Relevant experience must be in operating multimedia systems, facilities, and/or networks using audio, visual, and/or data capabilities (e.g., conference rooms, auditoriums, VTC); and include providing customer service.

Salary Range: $74,950 – $138,868 (Senior)

Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.

Degree in Communication Arts or a magnet school program in Audiovisual Communications is preferred, although any degree is acceptable.

Relevant experience must be in operating multimedia systems, facilities, and/or networks using audio, visual, and/or data capabilities (e.g., conference rooms, auditoriums, VTC, etc.); providing customer service; using audio/video equipment for a live event; and troubleshooting audio/video equipment. Formal or informal supervisory experience is preferred.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Monday – Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirements between 0600 and 1800 (flexible).
