Senior Electrical Engineer, Receiver/Exciter Microwave Radio Frequency (RF) Design (Hybrid)

Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is looking for an individual with a track record in Microwave RF design to work with our team of experts within the Receiver / Exciter Hardware Design Group. You will work with a talented team on the development of next generation Receiver / Exciter technologies for Airborne Radars. A successful candidate is experienced working in a high-octane environment and engage in the detailed design, analysis, trade studies, simulation and test of Microwave RF circuits and Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs). The candidate must be experienced using CAD tools and have experience using lab equipment. Design and test experience in high frequency circuits ranging from baseband to millimeter wave is required. Work experience in designing Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits, Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs) and/or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) is required.  Module and Unit level experience along with a broad understanding of Receiver / Exciters and Systems level requirements is preferred. The candidate will work in the design and trades of various component selections including amplifiers, mixers, switches, and filters. They will design and conduct simulations in linear and EM simulators, develop schematics and layouts, conduct testing and integration, and see the product through production phases. The individual should be self-motivated and be prepared to work with a focused team with an innovative mindset. The candidate must have a drive to learn and push the boundaries of technology. US Citizenship is required as this role requires an ACTIVE DoD Secret (or higher) Security Clearance on Day One of employment!!! Required Skills: Typically requires 5+ years of related technical experience in Microwave RF circuits Hands on experience in the design, analysis, development, bread‐boarding, troubleshooting, and testing of Microwave RF circuits Experience in software tools including: Keysight ADS, National Instruments AWR Microwave Office, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD or comparable Experience in lab equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters Active DoD Secret (or higher) Clearance Partial telecommuting allowed.  Expected to be on site regularly for hardware testing, classified discussions, and mentorship with senior engineers. Self-Motivated to Learn; Go Getter Personality Desired Skills: Experience in system’s level software tools including Keysight Genesys or SystemVue Experience working with Matlab Mentor eXpedition or similar layout tools experience Required Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required. A STEM degree in Electrical Engineering is typically required. Advanced degrees are preferred.
