Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Targeting Analyst include, but are not limited to, developing targets and target systems for joint lethal and / or non-lethal engagements. The contractor shall develop target nominations, create database records, and database target intelligence products. The successful candidate will provide all-source analytic damage estimates and battle damage assessments and assists with combat assessment requirements as well as conduct collateral damage estimation, performs target list management, target strategy development, and provides joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements. Additional responsibilities include providing recommendations for target prioritization to achieve commander objectives for plans and operations. The Targeting Analyst shall provide database nominations, create and update database and uploads targeting materials (TMs) into databases to include relevant space / counterspace data into the Modernized Integrated Data Base (MIDB) in a format that is able to interface with targeting processes and tools to include the Joint Targeting Toolkit (JTT).  May lead or mentor other junior analysts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of TS security clearance with SCI eligibility with willingness to undergo CI poly
Master’s degree w/ 12 years’ experience or bachelor’s w/ 17 years’ experience
Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight
Ability to review products and materials for compliance with applicable standards
Successful completion of in-resident Joint Targeting course, or the Geospatial Imagery / Targeting Analyst course, or the Air Operation Center Course.

  

Desired Qualifications:

Experience supporting space operations
Previous targeting experience at the combatant command level or joint environment
Demonstrated ability to lead small teams
