The Offerings and Solution Development team is responsible for ensuring a fully integrated, industry-leading portfolio of offerings that are repeatable, differentiated solutions aligned to our customers’ goals. The team leverages client intimacy to drive a competitive advantage while also driving offering differentiation through innovation, IP/patents, and digital services.
Perspecta has an immediate need in the Chantilly/Herndon VA area for a Lead Solution Architect. As a Lead Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design of innovative and cost-effective mission relevant solutions that could include systems engineering, applications, cyber security, cloud, infrastructure, and operational solutions that address the operational and technology needs of our customers while helping to grow the business.
This is an onsite position with the flexibility to work remotely when work load permits.
The LSA is responsible to lead teams of solution professionals and technical subject matter experts in the development of an integrated, cost-effective solutions for inclusion in proposal response that meets the customer’s requirements and maximizes Perspecta’s competitive advantage.
The LSA oversees the creation and the documentation of the technical solution, plus the development of the costing of the solution for insertion into a proposal response to a Government client.
Leads the technical solution development, competitive costing, and business case alignment of Perspecta solutions and Offerings based on Government agency’s requirements.
The LSA will work closely with business development, delivery accounts and corporate offerings teams to determine the overall solution strategy and approach to align to the customer’s objectives and requirements.
Collaborates effectively with the appropriate Perspecta business leaders to design the solution and agree on key solution parameters prior to costing activities
Merges industry point of view with broad technical knowledge and mission understanding to generate value propositions and approaches to solve Government customer challenges
Establishes strong relationships with Perspecta partners and works with partners to drive high quality solutions and compelling value propositions
Identifies and evaluates solution risks and creates strategies and plans to mitigate those risks
The LSA will confidently articulates all aspects of the solution during governance reviews with senior Perspecta management
Total years of related experience: Bachelors Degree plus 16-18 yrs, or Masters Degree plus 14+ yrs, or Phd and 10+ yrs
5+ years of experience in developing successful technical solutions for large, complex opportunities / proposal submissions for US Federal Government and/or State & Local customers with:
At least 3 years of demonstrated experience providing solution engineering of cloud capabilities and solutions in AWS, Azure or other mainstream CSP including compute, storage, networking, security, serverless and containers resulting in elastic, resilient and self-healing Cloud native applications and workflows
Experience with On-Prem to Cloud Migrations with understanding of common technical pitfalls
Knowledge of current Cloud technologies, architectures, best practices, cloud native tools, emerging technologies, and trends
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with NIST RMF and AWS GovCloud / Microsoft Azure GCC environments
Formulate, document, and communicate methodologies for building and operating highly available, scalable services with a view to reducing and resolving production incidents (e.g. Site Reliability Engineering) more efficiently, inclusive of opportunities to improve operations processes.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with technical subject matter experts, program managers, proposal managers, and business development teams to determine customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous environments.
Experience leading and collaborating with groups of 5-10, some remote, people to design and architect solutions in support of sales pursuits
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and communicate at the senior and executive management levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3+ years supporting Department of Defense customers is highly desirable
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field.
US Citizenship required
US Government Security Clearance is a plus w/ability to obtain TS or TS/SCI.
AWS or MS certification (Solution Architect Associate or Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, Security Specialty, Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies, Microsoft Azure Architect Design or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
