This position will provide Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) support as part of a GEOINT EO team performing Systems Engineering and Lifecycle Readiness activities for established and emerging systems. The candidate will ensure Integration and Closure activities for the domain are identified and accomplished. The candidate will be a member of a team coordinating, supporting and assessing requirements, CONOPs, architecture products, system schedules, and risks, and supporting test and verification strategy and the system integration of new initiatives in support of expanded mission capabilities.
The selected candidate will perform several important functions to support the systems engineering team and customer stakeholders. These will include: managing the structure, content, and business processes centered around the team’s Confluence website to enable data centricity and data discovery by the team and customer stakeholders; facilitating and driving supporting business functions (e.g. Integrated Product Team meetings and/or Working Group Meetings, action items, Giver/Receiver items between organizational entities, meeting minutes capture and dissemination, strategic agenda formulation, etc.). This will allow the candidate to learn the space system domain via integration with diverse and experienced systems engineering teams and grow into an increasingly capable contributor to additional systems engineering functions.
The candidate will also support or lead various system readiness and interact with multiple internal and external customer organizations and stakeholders.
This position also affords the candidate the opportunity for training and implementation of digital engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools.
Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.
Possess an active and current TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Very strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives to learn and collaborate with others.
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Systems Engineering experience or Systems Engineering degree.
Detailed knowledge of systems and overall space and ground architecture.
Expertise in mission technical capabilities and system performance assessment.
Experience with Mission Planning, Control or Processing functions in support of space and ground architecture.
